The 2016 Sports & Recreation Spotlight Award goes to Round Hill Pines Beach Resort
As part of Douglas County’s annual State of the County celebration, seven businesses received Spotlight Awards. The award categories included: Retail, Restaurant, Manufacturing and Production, Sports and Recreation, Entrepreneur, Business and Professional Service, and Tourism and Hospitality.
Selections were made based on staff knowledge and input from business community organizations such as the local Chambers of Commerce, the Main Street Programs, and the Business Council of Douglas County.
Each winner received an engraved lantern with a glowing flameless candle symbolic of keeping the Economic Vitality torch lit in creating a “Community to Match the Scenery.”
“We consider these Spotlight Awards to be a great way to highlight the economic impact and contributions business brings to Douglas County.” - County Manager, Larry Werner
